Access Consciousness Part 13

Access Consciousness Key to Freedom #7 is No Drugs of Any Kind.  Below you will find a blog post titled Can Consciousness Change Your Cash Flow taken from:  http://access-consciousness-blog.com/2012/09/can-consciousness-change-your-cash-flow-pt-v/.

This article deals with the effect of drugs on your money flows.

It’s perhaps obvious that drugs are not the best investment if you’d like to become wealthy, but their effect on money flows far surpasses their obvious drain on your finances, for a couple of reasons.

When Access Consciousness™ says “no drugs,” no one is recommending you stop taking your insulin if you’re a diabetic or your thyroid medication if that’s what your body requires. Drugs in this sense applies to all street drugs (including that “natural herb” marijuana) as well as prescription drugs that keep you from showing up as you. Among these prescription drugs are those prescribed for ADD and ADHD (including Ritalin which is more hallucinogenic per weight than LSD), as well as the mind altering anti-depressant and anti-anxiety drugs.

The danger of these mind-altering drugs, even though they are legally prescribed, is that they alter who you are. One woman who had done cocaine and alcohol for 13 years before getting sober in a 12-step program actually stopped also taking her anti-anxiety and anti-ADD drugs when she became involved in Access Consciousness™.

Her friends noticed a huge difference in her personality. It was as if the true person she was that had been hiding beneath all the chemicals showed up. “When she was taking the drugs, there was more of an edge, a franticness to her, even though the drugs were supposed to take that edge off,” recalls one of her best friends. To their sadness, not long after that she returned to her psychiatrist and bought his point of view. “You’re right, I have a chemical imbalance in my brain, I can’t go off these drugs,” she told him. Her friends found the real Lisa impossible to find or connect with on anything but a superficial basis after that.

Marijuana has a particularly devastating effect on finances. While Access Consciousness™ founder and best-selling author is not sure HOW marijuana works to send the finances of all involved in a southerly direction, he is certain that it does work that way. When his oldest son was doing drugs, he could never even get his checkbook to balance. When his son moved out, he could balance it without a problem.

It doesn’t have to be a relative involved for marijuana to zap your finances. One couple was living in an expensive condo in Silicon Valley. Directly below their apartment was a state-mandated affordable housing unit occupied by a single mother and her dope-smoking college student son. The man of the couple reached out to this young man, engaging him in occasional conversations in an attempt to make a contribution to his life. This minimal involvement with the dope-smoker was enough to destroy the couple’s “golden parachutes,” their substantial severance agreements they both received on leaving jobs in the tech sector. Douglas advised them to sell the apartment, which they did, and their finances worked much better once they were no longer living in such close proximity to a dope smoker.

One hypothesis of how this works is that somehow marijuana allows people to put something concerning money in some other dimension, one that cannot be located without going on another dope-smoking journey.

Another man who was quite gifted at finding work in his construction field, even during the current economic slowdown, found himself lacking work for a period of a month, which had never happened before. That personal slowdown coincided with the time when a friend of his son’s was staying with him. When he heard that the boy smoked a lot of dope, all the pieces of the puzzle came together. When the boy moved out, the man’s finances turned around. This strange “coincidence” occurred even though the boy did not smoke in the house of his host, knowing that smoking dope there was strictly against the rules. As Douglas says, “We don’t know HOW it works, we just know that it does work.”

Douglas has described what occurs with substance abuse as a chemical personality that imbibers create. Anyone who’s tried to have a conversation with an addict of any kind and had the impression they’re talking to the drugs not the person knows exactly what this is like. Among the many Access Consciousness™ tools that can change this are some body processes that can undo damage to the brain created by drugs, as well as others that remove those chemicals and toxicity, which are still stored in the body—no matter how long ago they were consumed.

Another interesting consequence of using drugs is that it invites entities to come into the body. This doesn’t occur with a glass or two of champagne, but it does occur with heavy alcohol use, as well as the use of other drugs. When an entity occupies the body, the body’s “owner” does not have full control or use of it. It is hard for those around him or her to know exactly who they’re talking to, as the entities’ personalities are usually quite different from the original person’s, and generally not an improvement upon it!

If you’ve ever noticed the smoky feel to bars or pubs, even now that smoking in them is banned most places in the world, then you have been perceiving the entities that surround alcoholics. That smokiness is the alcoholics who no longer have physical bodies to drink the alcohol, trying to enroll others who do inhabit bodies to take a drink for them to satisfy the entity’s craving.

Street drugs all invite entities to come into the body, as do some of the “mind-altering drugs” available with a prescription. These include the drugs that change your personality, such as anti-depressants, anti-anxiety, and anti-ADD drugs. The experience of being anesthetized for surgery can also invite entities into the body. As this is a rather finite incident, the problem of recurrence of entities that is the rule with regular users of drugs does not occur.

Though some veterans of the 60s and their offspring may have bought the lie that drugs enhance consciousness. This is not actually the case, says Douglas. They do change consciousness; they do not enhance it.

“Drugs are always a choice for anti-consciousness,” says Douglas. “You’re sitting on a picket fence. Sooner or later you’re going to end up with something up your butt!”

As with everything in Access Consciousness™ and consciousness itself, drugs are also a choice. Perhaps having this additional information will motivate you to make a different choice; perhaps not.

I can’t really make too many remarks on this particular Key to Freedom because in all honesty it has very little to do with my life.  Being a semi-control freak I don’t enjoy any drugs that do not allow me to be in charge of me. While I do take prescribed medications there is only one I use that Gary frowns upon and it is in a low dosage.  So this is one key I’m not particularly able to discuss because it is not one that has any effect in my life.

Access Consciousness Part 12 (Not Pain Related)

The following is taken from the Access Consciousness Blog:

Can Consciousness Change Your Cash Flow Pt. IV

What about commandment #6—no judgment, no discrimination, no discernment? First of all, discrimination and discernment are merely high-class judgments; they’re judgments masquerading as correctness, which is in itself a judgment.

What does judgment have to do with money flows? More than you could possibly imagine!

First of all, any problems we have with money are not problems with money but problems with receiving and being. Judgment of any kind stops both receiving and being in their tracks. Once you judge anything, you cannot receive anything that doesn’t match that judgment.

If you judge something is much too expense, can you ever have it? If you judge that you do not deserve money, can you actually receive money or anything that’s “worth a lot of money” from your point of view? If you judge you’re not good enough to receive money, or lots of money, for your work or just for your brilliant being, can anyone give you a generous gift? Judgment is a huge roadblock to our receiving money from just about any source.

It’s not only judgments of yourself that stop your receiving of money, but also judgments about money itself. How many of those do you have? How many did your parents and other adults around you implant into you? Was anything they told you about money useful, or was all of it judgment and limitation? Did you buy that money would make you happy, or that people who had money were not happy, or kind, or nice? Did you buy that money was dirty, or not important, or less important than love, or something that only nasty people had or that it didn’t grow on trees? The latter would be a serious limitation if you were a walnut farmer! All of these are judgments, which create limitation in your financial life!

Other judgments about money include what money is and what money is not. One woman called Gary Douglas demanding her money back because she claimed she’d gotten no result a month after a money class. He asked her how her life had changed. She’d been given a car, a place to live, and an expensive designer wardrobe that a friend had grown too fat to wear. Douglas pointed out the limitation in her judgment that money and wealth could only be received in the form of green pieces of paper. Everything she received was wealth, which money is a form of. Needless to say, Douglas refused to give her her money back!

Many people have not noticed that it’s not only the “negative” statements that are judgments. Fixed points of view that we judge “positive” create limitations as well, including limitations in your money flows. Suppose you decide that someone is your friend. (Decisions are essentially judgments in that they don’t allow anything that doesn’t match them to show up.)

What if that person you decide is your friend also happens to be dishonest? You wouldn’t steal from your friends, so you will not be able to be aware that your friend could steal from you. That simple decision or conclusion that someone is your friend is an invitation to get yourself blindsided. Is that really what you wish to choose? How often has that happened in your life?

How do you know when something is a judgment? Judgments do often start from observations. Observations feel light. If they begin to feel heavy, that’s a great indication your observation has veered into judgment. Observations also do not have an emotional charge on them, whereas judgments most often do.

Those tentacles of judgment that destroy your money flows are more far-reaching than you can imagine. If you have a judgment of anyone, you cannot receive money from them. That’s sort of obvious—why would they want to give you money anyway if you’re beaming judgment at them? The more far-reaching consequence is that you also cannot receive money from anyone anywhere in the world whose vibration matches theirs, for as long as you have that judgment. That’s a pretty nasty consequence of one little judgment.

Making things worse is the fact that every judgment has 25 other judgments that hold it in place, and each of those judgments has 25 judgments that hold them in place. Talk about the ultimate multi-level marketing plan!

Gary Douglas worked with a man who owned a clothing store in the gay section of Houston. He cleared many aspects of the business but still didn’t have a handle on why it was not succeeding. Finally he asked the owner about his customers.

Oh, they’re all right, except for those guys,” the clothing store owner replied with a swish of his wrist to indicate the sexual orientation of most of his customers. (Who buys men’s clothes? Gay men, and women for their husbands. Do women shopping for their husbands go into the gay section of town? Not too often!)

Do you flirt with women?” Douglas asked the shop owner.

Yes, if my wife’s not around,” he replied.

Then you can learn to flirt with your customers, too,” said Douglas. “You have to learn to flirt with them to receive their money. It doesn’t mean you have to copulate with them.” He taught the business owner how to flirt with gay men, and his business improved dynamically. Flirting is receiving sexual energy from someone, which makes it possible to also receive their money.

Sometimes other people’s judgments can work in your favor if you’re willing to receive them without judging their judgments. A sterling example of this is the judgment of others that you are rich or have too much money. How can this be?

Someone who judges is sure that they’re right. Judgment could even be seen as the determination to prove your point of view correct and that you are right no matter what. The person judging wants to prove that they’re right— that you have too much money. They put all kinds of energy into making that judgment a reality. Aren’t they working for you when they do that?

Douglas once received a call from a woman who was organizing classes for him in New Zealand. She was upset because another woman there was discouraging people from going to an advanced workshop in Costa Rica because she “didn’t want Gary and Dain to have too much money.” The caller was concerned that this would damage attendance at the workshop.

Absolutely the opposite was true, Douglas assured his organizer. The more the second woman judged that he and Dain were making too much money, the more energy she was contributing to their actually having too much money!

It’s in your best interests for others to judge you as being rich or having too much money. Would you be willing to invite it?

Curiously, form, structure, and significance (as discussed in the article immediately preceding this one in this series) are actually judgments about what something should look like. How often do we have the judgment about what the things we’re asking for should look like? That form and structure we expect is actually a limitation in itself. “It never looks like you think it’s going to look,” observes Dr. Dain Heer, Douglas’s business partner and co-developer of Access Consciousness™.

Whatever we’re asking for is presumably something we don’t believe we have. The only reason we don’t have everything we’d like is that we have areas in which we are unconscious. So when we are asking for something greater, we’re asking for something that’s more conscious, from a place of lesser consciousness. How can we know what that more-conscious situation is from our position of less consciousness? It’s impossible! It’s like the old saying, “You can’t get there from here.”

Yet how often do we ask for something, only to refuse it when it shows up as something totally different than what we thought it would look like? The universe always sends us what we ask for. It never looks the way we thought it would look, and the timing is variable. Concluding and judging that what shows up is no good also creates a limitation in what can show up.

If you say “It’s not working!” just because it doesn’t show up as you thought it would, when you thought it would, you stop the universe’s creation to you. The universe hears your conclusion and sends what you’ve been asking for to someone who’s more willing to receive, live in the question, and not judge the outcome of what you’ve asked for. Much better to say, “That didn’t turn out like I expected, what’s it going to take for even more to show up?” The best way to get out of judgment is to ask a question, as questions that are truly questions, preclude judgment.

Would you really like to change your financial reality? Giving up your judgment of yourself, others, and money would be a great way to start. What else do you suppose it might change in your life? Taken from: http://access-consciousness-blog.com/2012/09/can-consciousness-change-your-cash-flow-pt-iv/ Changes to text are mine.

The idea of having no judgment, no discrimination, no discernment seems like a totally foreign concept to us. Why? Because we’re constantly surrounded by judgments in one form or the other. However, I’ve found that by being willing to give up my judgments I have been able to change my life. Any time I read, hear or see something and begin to feel that familiar emotional charge I know that I have made a judgment and I immediately begin using the Access Tools. I find that I am much happier and I run into far fewer issues in my life than I used to.

For example, it wasn’t too long ago that I noticed that when the pain I have became severe I would often say “this pain is killing me.” At the moment I realized that I was judging the pain to be so severe it would kill me I knew that I was locking that pain in place and creating the pain to be more and more severe. So for quite some time every time that I would catch myself making that statement or anything similar I used the Access tools and the pain has become more manageable. I can’t tell you that the pain is gone or that it doesn’t become very severe but I can tell you that by changing the way I viewed the pain the pain changed. So what tools did I use?

First, you can say Interesting point of view I have that point of view. Wait 5 to 10 seconds and then repeat it until the energy dissipates. Usually this takes 5 to 10 repetitions but you may have to repeat it up to 50 times. Repeat until you feel the energy change which may mean you feel the energy lift from your shoulders or you start to smile or laugh, or whatever you feel as a lightening in your world will happen and you will know that you have created the change you were looking for.

Second, you can ask “How does it get any better than this?” or “What else is possible here?” or “What are the infinite possibilities here?”.  Ask whichever question you’ve chosen wait 5 to 10 seconds then repeat the question. Usually this takes 5 to 10 repetitions but you may have to repeat it up to 50 times. Repeat it until you feel the energy dissipate.

Repeat the use of one of these tools each time a thought, feeling or emotion comes up in your world around pain or whatever form, structure or significance you are trying to change comes into your world again and soon you will see your relationship to the issue change for the better.

Try these tools for every judgment, discrimination or discernment that you make and see what happens. You may just be pleasantly surprised by the results.

Access Consciousness Part 11 (Pain Related)

In the book The Ten Keys to Freedom Gary Douglas and Dr. Dain Heer discuss what the meaning of Key #5 – No form, no structure, no significance.

Form is the shape or outline of something, the way something is done or the way someone acts.

Structure is the way something is organized, built or constructed to make something run in a specific way. It’s something that everyone agrees exists and no one believes that it can or should be changed.

Significance is importance or meaning. We make things significant by giving them consequence, meaning or importance in our lives.

For example, say you are having a bad pain day and you say, “This pain is relentless, it’s killing me. It will always be like this.”

Your relationship to the pain is that it is relentless and killing you.

By making the pain never ending you are creating a structure that is real, rigid and true that in truth may be none of those things.

By making the pain never ending, relentless and killing you is a significance. Seriously.

But in truth none of this is real, rigid or true. Instead it is just an interesting point of view.

So to counteract that you have a number of tools available.

First, you can say Interesting point of view I have that point of view. Wait 5 to 10 seconds and then repeat it until the energy dissipates. Usually this takes 5 to 10 repetitions but you may have to repeat it up to 50 times. Repeat until you feel the energy change which may mean you feel the energy lift from your shoulders or you start to smile or laugh, or whatever you feel as a lightening in your world will happen.

Second, you can ask “How does it get any better than this?” or “What else is possible here?” or “What are the infinite possibilities here?”. Again ask the question and wait 5 to 10 seconds then repeat the question.

To understand Key #5 better read the excerpt of the blog post Can Consciousness Change Your Cash Flow? Part III posted September 5, 2012 below:

How does the commandment “no form, no structure, no significance” apply to money? When we refer to something being significant in Access Consciousness™ classes, we describe it as having the point of view that it is greater than we are. Money is what many people make more significant than anything. The official name of our political system is based on it—Capitalism.

In some ways, only if we have no point of view about money at all are we truly not making it significant. (These commandments do tend to weave together, like different facets of the same diamond, or many roads to heaven as new age spiritual types can be fond of saying.)

The opposite of making anything significant is the acknowledgment, as Access Consciousness™ founder Gary Douglas says, that “nothing is greater than you and the consciousness that you are.

You created everything that’s showing up in your life,” Douglas points out. “The good news is that since you created it, you can uncreate it and create something different.” With that being true, then how can anything, even that elusive beast called money, be greater or more powerful or more creative or more anything than you are?

But truly living out of form, structure, and significance goes much further than that. If you have the point of view that your only income comes from your job, your paycheck, or your business, you are creating a huge limitation by imposing a form, structure and significance from who, what, and where you are willing to receive money. Is that really in your best interest?

It’s such a common assumption that the only money we have or will ever receive comes from our job, from the inheritance when our parents die, or winning the lottery. Can you see what a limitation that creates? Money can come from all kinds of places we might never expect.

Some of the ways people involved in Access Consciousness™ have received money include receiving inheritance from housemates of 20 years ago, getting completely unsolicited property tax refunds from the county where they lived, getting meeting rooms at classier hotels than they would have dared to book paid for by a second hotel which wished to break its contract, as well as all kinds of comps and travel upgrades which tend to show up when they do, just for the asking and even without asking.

What if money were more like you than you ever thought? Do you like to be told what to do and what you must look like and where you must go? Or do you prefer to be more flowing and free-form and spontaneous, oozing into every possibility and opening until you can find the ones that are the most fun? If you removed the form and structure that you’ve been forcing onto money by your points of view, could money have more fun coming into your life?

What if instead of supposing money were anything you thought it was, you were to ask it questions about how it would like to show up in your life? What if you asked it questions like, “How much fun can we have with you today?” or “What other creative ways can you come up with to find me today and in the future?” Another great question that also works well, and works even better when you free money from the form and structure you force onto it is, “What can I add to my life that would create lots of money today and in the future?”

Form, structure, and significance is a function of our mind. The only function of our mind is to define the limitations of what we already know. How well have you been using your mind to define your limitations about money? A great way to fry your limiting mind on the subject of money is to set as your target to have both more money than you can spend and never enough money. That’s a concept you cannot wrap your logical mind around, have you noticed? The advantage of frying your limiting mind is that it forces your mind to stop creating the form, structure and significance that’s creating your current challenges with money. If you could solve your current money problems with your mind, wouldn’t you have solved them long ago?

It’s easy to see why you might like to have more money than you can spend. But why aim for having never enough? It’s simple—as soon as you decide you have enough money or more than enough money or more money than you can spend, you stop receiving and you stop creating the energy that’s required to generate even more money. You actually impose a form on your money flows with the concept of having enough of it. How crazy is that?

So how about it? Would you be willing to consider being out of form structure and significance with regard to money, right now? What would it take? If what you’ve been trying with your logical mind hasn’t worked, do you have anything to lose? Access Consciousness Part 10 (Pain Related)

This week’s blog is an excerpt of the blog titled Is Access Consciousness Really Weird? Published on July 4, 2012.

In the Bible it says “Ask and you shall receive” despite what you may think you know or believe about this statement, I’m telling you that in my experience that statement is the absolute truth. When we ask a question the universe/God begins to line up all that is needed to get us what and where we need to go so that we can receive what we’ve been asking for.

Some of the questions that could create greater possibilities include:

  • What if this could turn out even better than I could ever imagine?
  • What are the infinite possibilities?
  • How does it get even better than this?
  • Who am I today and what grand and glorious adventures can I have and receive today?
  • What would it take for me to be able to have this? (substitute anything for underlined word).

Taken from: http://access-consciousness-blog.com/2011/09/does-setting-your-intention-really-get-you-what-you-want/ Does Setting Your Intention Really Get You What You Want? Published on September 27, 2011. Changes to text are mine. See also: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8N1Q3z-GdyU 3 Questions That Will Change Your Life Forever with Drew Canole.

Once I began to live the fourth Key to Total Freedom which is living as the question, my life became much easier. Why? Because questions expand what is possible in your life and living. Answers, statements, judgments, decisions, conclusions, etc. limit what is possible in your life and living. Whether what is happening in my life is good, bad or ugly by asking questions I have been able to change the energy of the situation and create more possibilities and ultimately more choices.

LIVE AS THE QUESTION.

Living as the question is the key to everything Gary Douglas has discovered. “I was the slowest person ever to come to Access,” Gary tells participants in a DVD played in the first Access Consciousness™ class. “I couldn’t tell the difference between energy and body heat.”

This inability to sense the energy, a talent at which he is now brilliant, was actually a gift because it forced him to ask questions.

All questions are not created equal. “A question is more than a statement with a question mark attached,” he observes. If there’s a judgment, decision, or conclusion underlying your question, that fixed point of view will keep your question from really being a question.

For example, “Why am I so f****d up?” is not a question, Douglas reminds us. It has a bit of a judgment underneath it. Similarly, “What would it take for a BMW to show up in my driveway?” is also not a question because it has judgments about what car you are willing to receive underlying it.

Really living AS the question means never coming to conclusion about what anything is. Almost anything that ends in a period is a conclusion, decision or judgment. Conclusions, judgments, and decisions have one function in your life: to create limitation and keep you from creating what would otherwise be possible for you.

When someone tells one of the most successful facilitators in Access Consciousness™ that they’re coming to her class, she applies this tool and immediately goes into question. “I wonder if they will come?” she asks, rather than going into conclusion.

To stay in the question, you could try repeating some of these questions over and over on a daily basis. You can use them in any situation whether it’s good, bad or ugly:
O How does it get even better than this?
O What else is possible here?
O How did I create this?
O What are the infinite possibilities?

For example, you’re walking down the street and you see $20 or you’re stuck in traffic which really annoys you or you’re standing at a street corner waiting for a light, the light changes to green and you start to cross and are almost struck by a vehicle…in all these situations ask any of the above questions. Why? When you ask the question the energy surrounding the situation will change. Thus, by changing the energy you will find that the situation itself will change.

Remember though to ask these or any questions with curiosity and wonder. If you’re not sure what I mean by that then ask the question this way “I wonder, how does it get any better than this?” By putting the words “I wonder” before any question you’ll notice an added sense of curiosity or wonder as you ask the question.

One of the ways you can feel the energy shift and change is to repeat any of these questions ten times. Don’t just rattle them off. Ask the question then wait five to ten seconds and ask again. I have found this to be an excellent way to change the energy of a situation but it is also a means to learn how shifting energy actually feels. Remember though be patient with yourself if you’re not feeling the energy. Whether you feel it or not the energy still shifts and changes the situation which is the primary reason to ask the question.

Gary Douglas has a set of four questions that can handle almost any situation:
O What is this?
O What do I do with it?
O Can I change it?
O How can I change it?

Taken from: http://access-consciousness-blog.com/2012/07/is-access-consciousness%E2%84%A2-really-weird/ all changes to the text are mine.

I use these four questions a lot because they will help to bring the awarenesses that I need to make the changes that I desire. Ask each question with curiosity and wait 5 or 10 seconds to see what comes up. If by the time you’ve reached the final question and nothing has come into your awareness then move on with your day knowing that an awareness will come. It may take time or it come fairly quickly. However, the awareness you’re seeking here will not come in the form of an answer. An awareness can be the feeling of something being light or heavy; it can also be a picture, a word or a song that pops into your mind that’s somehow relevant; it can be an article in the paper or it may be that everywhere you go you see the same book, etc. These are the awarenesses that will give you what you need to change your life for the better. Access Consciousness Part 9 (Pain Related)

Changing your body could be easy

What an interesting relationship most of us have with our bodies! They accompany us everywhere and make everything we do on earth possible, yet we ignore and denigrate them at every turn and pay no attention to the messages they try in vain to send to us.

Then when they do manage to create a pain or symptom that gets our attention, we conclude something is horribly wrong with our body and the symptom must be gotten rid of right away.

We go from completely ignoring our bodies to being almost possessed by the wrongness of what’s occurring in our body’s desperate attempts to get our attention. How smart is that? Not very!

What could change if we were to apply the second of the Access Consciousness™ 10 Commandments, formulated by Access Consciousness™ founder and best-selling author Gary Douglas, to our lives with our bodies?

What if everything that occurred with our bodies were just an interesting point of view? Would that create a different reality with our bodies, perhaps a more rewarding relationship with our bodies?

Certainly, it would make it easier to change the things we do not like about what’s occurring with our bodies. Why is that? Our bodies have awareness, consciousness, and intelligence just like we the beings do—they just don’t have minds that constantly overcome their knowing. Just as with animals, we assume we are more conscious than our bodies because they don’t speak and think, and we do. Is that assumption really correct? Or are our bodies like the elephants during the tsunami in Thailand who pulled up the stakes in the ground that had held them in place for 30 years because their awareness of the upcoming tsunami that would otherwise drown them was so much greater than the humans who went to the beach to pick up the free fish?

When we’re judging—and judging is the opposite of interesting point of view—whatever we’re judging cannot change. Don’t believe it? When someone demands you change something, anything, because they don’t like it, how willing are you to change it? Or do you have to dig in your heels like a teenager or two year old and resist unless and until they come to interesting point of view, at which point you then have the freedom to choose? This tendency of human nature, to resist changing anything that’s judged, has long been observed by those in the helping professions—Gestalt psychologist Fritz Perls called it the “paradoxical theory of change.”

Guess what, it applies to your body as well! Who knew? In order to change anything, however undesirable, about your body, you have to first come out of judgment of it to a point where you can be merely interesting point of view about what your body has created at your request.

How has your body created these undesirables at your request? Do you think your body wishes to be anything but lithe, healthy, flexible, and functioning well? It does not! Want to check this out? Ask your body how long it would like to live! More or less than 100 years? More or less than 200 years? 300? 400? If it keeps getting lighter when you say more, keep raising the number.

So if that’s what our body would like, why do our bodies degenerate, break down, and die? It’s because of the limitations that we the beings impose upon them. Not our smartest move, but rather pervasive, to say the least!

Having your Access Bars™ run, by the way, releases gazillions of these limitations you the being have imposed on your body with every session you gift and receive. It’s because of the considerations you the being have and impose on your body that anything goes wrong with your body. It’s the letting go of those considerations that make the body miracles occur in just one session of Access Bars™.

Some of these miracles, for those of you not familiar with them, include a man suffering from scoliosis who was an inch and a half taller (4 cm for those of you in the metric world) when he got off the table; many people who no longer have headaches after just one Access Bars™ session, and all kinds of other pains and disabilities that just vanish after a single Access Bars™ session. And that’s saying nothing of the way that people who start doing Access Consciousness™ seem to stop aging in their tracks, as long as they continue to use the tools and get their Access Bars™ run. If you’re curious about what the Bars is all about see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRbzdlnWIQE The Access Consciousness Bars™ by Synergy in Motion and http://www.accessconsciousness.com/uploaded_files/manuals/Access%20Bars%20Facilitators/Manuals%20-%20A4%20Metric/Access%20Bars%20Headchart.pdf The Bars pdf.

If you’ve never had your Bars run I would suggest that you do. In Access they say that the worst thing that could happen is that you feel like you had a great massage and the best thing is it could change your whole life. I was able to find a facilitator in the area where I lived who taught me how to run the Bars on her and then she would do mine for me. This process of gifting and receiving the bars is quite phenomenal. By the time we’d completed the first day my body felt as though I’d had a great massage and I actually felt almost dizzy which was the creation of the space that releasing considerations, judgments, limitations and so on creates. If you’ve never had this done I would suggest that you consider trying it. If you’re not aware of who does this in your area check the Access Consciousness web page and look for practitioners (PR) in your area. In the meantime and even after having your Bars run continue to use the tools because this also releases considerations, judgments, limitations and so on.

So what would it look like if we approached our bodies from interesting point of view? It might be easier to change them! One woman who lost 2 dress sizes between her first and second Levels 2 & 3 (an interval of 3 days) approached her body with questions. For example, one question she asked was, “What would it take to change this flabbiness in my arms, body?”

If we were to approach everything that occurs with our bodies as just an interesting point of view, could the opinions of experts and medical doctors (also known as Medical Deities) have the heavy hold over us that they do now? What if any diagnosis, instead of being a statement of irrevocable fact, were just an interesting point of view our body was taking to get our attention? We could ask a question, “Body, what are you trying to tell me with this (fill in the symptom of your body’s choice)?”

Ask the question, “Body, what are you trying to tell me with this (fill in the symptom of your body’s choice)?” Wait 5 to 10 seconds and see what comes up for you. If nothing comes to you, then move on knowing that an awareness will come in it’s own time so be patient. The awareness you’re seeking here will not come in the form of an answer. An awareness can be the feeling of something being light or heavy, a picture or a word or a song that pops into your mind that’s somehow relevant, or an article in the paper, or everywhere you go you see the same book and so on. These are the awarenesses that will give you what you need to change your life for the better. See also: http://www.accessconsciousness.com/tools-for-change.asp Access Consciousness Pragmatic Tools for Change.

If the idea that the opinions of doctors and medical experts could just be an interesting point of view doesn’t seem right somehow then I’d like to point out that I have changed many of my views about what I used to consider to be fact. For instance, my son and I were talking about weight recently and I said “When I was a kid we ate fried foods and lots of meat at every meal. Granted we were more active but overall our diet by today’s standards was much worse and our calorie intake was much higher. Yet, there were very, very few really heavy set people. Now there are so many. If our diet was worse and our calorie intake much higher then there has to be something more to it than just the fact we were more active. Maybe what changed is that people came to believe that “obesity was on the rise” and so the number of obese people continued to rise.”  In Access they say that your point of view creates your reality, reality does not create your point of view. So if you changed your point of view wouldn’t your reality shift as well? I give you this idea as an example of how your point of view creates your reality and if you change your point of view your reality will change as well. Now I may in fact be totally wrong but the statement I made above is very light every time I read it so for me it is true. Remember what’s light for you is true, what’s heavy is a lie. Take what is light for you with you and leave what is heavy behind. For more information on light and heavy see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvt6GqGs3_g Access Consciousness Part 8 posted October 26, 2015.

The same question could be applied to pain. As soon as we decide pain is real, we have to continue making it real to prove ourselves right. What if we were to ask a question instead? One question Gary Douglas suggests is, “Body, what are you trying to tell me with this intensity?” Identifying what we previously labeled as pain as the intensity it is shifts it from being serious and real and significant into being yes, just another interesting point of view.

After you ask the question, “Body, what are you trying to tell me with this intensity?” wait 5 or 10 seconds to see what comes up. If nothing, then move on with your day knowing that an awareness will come. It may take time or it come fairly quickly. As I was working on this blog I noticed that I had a pain in my shoulders. So I decided to use “Interesting point of view I have that point of view about the pain in my shoulders. Interesting point of view I have that point of view.” It may take 3 times, 5 times, 10 times or more to get all the energy to dissipate. You may have to repeat it in a hour or less. If you keep after the energy every time it appears you may be very surprised by the results you achieve. It had never occurred to me that I could use “Interesting point of view” in this way and I don’t ever remember hearing it discussed this way before I read this Access Consciousness blog today. So now I can put one of my favorite tools to work for me in a way I’ve never used it before. Yay! One of the thing I love about Access tools is how flexible they are. Try this and see if it helps the next time you have a pain issue, a judgment, a conclusion, etc.

Interesting point of view that I have that point of view” is our ticket out of judgment. How would that apply to our bodies? How many judgments do we have of our bodies? It is these judgments that determine what we see in the mirror, not the image of what we really look like.

What could you change about your body if every single one of those opinions you have about any part of it were just an interesting point of view? What if the change you’ve been longing for in your body were as easy to create as a change in your point of view? Truth, would you be willing to have that? What would it take? Well that’s all I have for this week. I’ll be back next week with another blog which will help you to create an even better life and living. Until then I hope that you have a great week and as little pain as possible.

Access Consciousness Part 8

I really enjoyed last week’s blog because the information supplied in that blog can be life altering. By using each of The Ten Keys to Freedom your life can be transformed. First, by living your life in ten second increments you see that a choice you’ve made isn’t working you can just make another choice. Second, it shows you that you are responsible for the choices you make and by taking responsibility for those choices you see that it is possible to change your life. Finally, it takes you out of the realm of good and bad, right and wrong and all of the other judgments we constantly make of ourselves and others.

So I decided that I’m going to continue down this path and do a blog a week until I have covered all of The Ten Keys to Freedom. This week I’m going to do a blog post using an article I found titled The First Commandment and Your Body in the same manner that I did last week. I have added my own comments to make the article easier to understand for those who aren’t as familiar with Access Consciousness. I hope you enjoy this series of blog posts.

The First Commandment and Your Body

Many years ago, Access Consciousness™ Founder and best-selling author Gary Douglas formulated the 10 Commandments of Access Consciousness™.

No, it was not his way of starting another cult or religion—far from it. He subtitles his commandments “the keys to your freedom,” as that is his target for those attending his classes (and everyone else in the world who desires it).

What would it be like if we applied the 10 Commandments of Access Consciousness™ to our bodies?

The first commandment is, “Would an infinite being truly choose this? And if they wouldn’t, why are you?”

Have you ever thought of your body as being infinite? It can be a stretch! It’s not the way most of us usually think about our bodies—but how happy or unhappy are most people with their bodies?

In truth,” says Gary Douglas “you created your body and you are an infinite being, so your body should be as infinite as you are.” If you’re having trouble with that concept, try this exercise or the one that follows:

Close your eyes and look for the outside edges of you. Start at your skin, and keep going further and further beyond it, outside your body. If you contact something that seems like an edge of you, push on it and see if you can go further.

Or try this instead. Say out loud or just think the following: Expand to the size of the room your in. Then expand to the size of the building your in. Then expand to the size of the city your in. Then expand to the size of the state your in. Then expand to the size of the country your in. Then expand to the size of the planet. Then expand to the size of the universe. Then expand beyond the size of the universe. And expand ten times that. And expand a hundred times beyond that. And expand a million times beyond that.

You don’t have to do anything other than think what’s written above and your being will respond by following the directions that you give it. Usually you can feel this but sometimes when you first start you may not be able to. Either way that’s okay just know that it is happening. Practice either exercise repeatedly. By practicing you will learn to feel your being expand outside your body. You will find that keeping your being expanded helps to keep other people’s thoughts, feelings and emotions from coming into your space.

What do I mean by that? The other day I was outside taking a walk. Suddenly as I walked by a building I started to feel very angry. One way to deal with a sudden upset like that is to use the question “Who does this belong to? Is it someone else’s?” If the energy lightens, or if your muscle testing and you move forward slightly (look at last week’s blog post for more information on both the light and heavy tool and muscle testing) then it’s not yours. To remove the energy from your space say “Return to sender with consciousness attached” until the energy dissipates. This may need to be said once or it may take a number of repetitions. I’ve found another way to deal with this is to expand out which allows you to achieve the same result. For me both ways work equally well so try it and see which works best for you.

So! Are you an infinite being or a finite one? Are you in your body, or is your body inside you? Most people find that they are much too big to fit into something as small as their little bodies. You and your body are both infinite beings! You may not have been acting like it or acknowledging it, however.

Like all of the Ten Commandments of Access Consciousness™, this can be applied to any body situation you would like to change. As in all situations in life we’d like to change, the answer is almost always that of course, an infinite being would not choose it.

The reasons for our doing so usually boils down to just a couple of reasons: to prove what victims we are so someone will rescue us, or to create yet another disaster in our lives.

Have you ever known someone who did this to themselves, using their bodies to do so? Have you ever known anyone who did not? Most people don’t like their bodies, don’t enjoy being in them, and many use problems with their bodies as one of the ways they can sabotage themselves and keep themselves in the victim role.

Not their best choice, but one that people often make! How many people have you known that created a mysterious and even life-threatening illness just when they were so close to breaking through the tape of the finish line of some target they had been working on for years?

Sometimes people simply like their lives being disasters because for some reason they think it would not be interesting or exciting if it weren’t. If they didn’t have something painful or colorful or dramatic going wrong with their bodies (or their lives), what would they talk about? If they didn’t have 10 pounds to lose what excuse would they have for buying yet another trashy women’s magazine with yet another miracle diet in it? Creating an undesirable condition in their bodies can be a way to focus the hate and judgment they have of their bodies, and their resistance to the greatness of being in one in the first place.

If you followed this commandment, wouldn’t you have to acknowledge that every single undesirable condition in your body was your creation? Would that extend the potency you have as an infinite being to a place you had never considered before? If your body is one of the things you’d like to change in your life, might applying this commandment allow you to change it, making it possible for you to have everything you’ve been asking for and longing for your whole life?

It may be painful to admit that even the things about your body that you don’t like are your creations. It is in your best interest, however. Acknowledging that what’s occurring in your life is your creation is the necessary first step to changing it. Would an infinite being judge their own creation? It’s a lot easier if you don’t judge your creation, but merely acknowledge your creation and all your points of view about it as merely interesting points of view.

Then changing it can be as easy as asking your body, “Body, what would it take for you to change this?” or “Would an infinite being choose this? If not, then why am I?” After either question say “Everything that is I now destroy and uncreate it all times a Godzillion. Right, wrong, good, bad, all nine, POD, POCs, shorts, boys and beyonds.” Taken from: http://access-consciousness-blog.com/2012/11/the-first-commandment-and-your-body/ All changes to the text are mine. For more information on the clearing statement (Right, wrong, good, bad, etc.) see: http://www.accessconsciousness.com/content60.asp.

This is a question that I’ve actually just begun to enjoy asking myself. Why? Because to me, it is a reminder of who I truly be and that I actually have other choices available. To me that is very powerful because I know that I can then change everything. That change may or may not happen immediately but I know that it will happen. I have been using these questions and other Access Consciousness tools in my life for the last four or five years, however, recently, I’ve begun to use the tools every day and I am always amazed at what changes.

Also remember to be grateful and acknowledge what shows up in your life. Recently Gary Douglas stated the following “I am grateful for everything I get. I’m grateful for every person who comes into my life. I’m grateful for the gift I have of being able to contribute and to receive. Gratitude grows gratitude in other things. If you don’t have gratitude you cannot receive. The greater your gratitude the more money you can have. If you really want more money, show more gratitude. Be grateful for every dollar that shows up in your life. I am…It’s that shift of acknowledging what you do have. When you start looking at what you do have, people get fixated on what they don’t have, not what they do have. What you don’t have in your checking account, what you don’t have in the bank. We have been taught to focus on what we don’t have. Never to focus on what we do have. It’s considered self aggrandizing to focus on what you do have. No, it’s not! It’s called self acknowledgment. If you acknowledge what you do have you’ll get more of it.” (Replace the underlined word with any word like health, painlessness, etc. you’d like). By acknowledging what has changed or shown up you show the Universe that you are willing to receive, that you are paying attention to what it is providing to you. By doing so you acknowledge the magical component of all of this which helps to insure the Universe’s continued cooperation and how does it get any better than that?

Books That May Help You to Change Your Life

Right before I published last week’s blog, I was reading Wayne Dyer’s Excuses Begone! which is a wonderful book. That got me thinking about what books I could recommend to you that have given me practical ways to change my life for the better. So here is a list of book that I would recommend to you:

Dr. Wayne Dyer

Your Erroneous Zones: If you’re plagued by guilt or worry and find yourself falling unwittingly into the same old self-destructive patterns, then you have “erroneous zones” — whole facets of your approach to life that act as barriers to your success and happiness. Dr. Wayne W. Dyer can now help you break free!

If you believe that you have no control over your feeling and reactions, Dyer reveals how much you can take charge of yourself and manage how much you let difficult situations affect you. If you spend more time worrying what others think than working on what you want and need, Dyer points the way to true self-reliance. From self-image problems to over-dependence upon others, Dyer gives you the tools you need to enjoy life to the fullest. Taken from: http://www.amazon.com/Your-Erroneous-Zones-Wayne-Dyer/dp/0061091480?ie=UTF8&tag=enjoysucce-20&link_code=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969

There Is A Spiritual Solution to Every Problem: This radical new book from Wayne Dyer proposes that we hold the keys to solving any problems we face within us. He sets out basic principles and foundations we can understand and practice in order to access spiritual solutions to any problems we are experiencing. The book is in two sections. The first sets out the theory, the second enables you to put the wisdom into practice. Part 1. The theory: Everything in the Universe is nothing more than energy. Light and though[t], spiritual energy, vibrates very quickly. Physical energy, and problem areas, vibrate more slowly. When the highest/fastest frequencies of spirit are brought to the presence of lower/slower frequencies, they nullify and dissipate those things we call problems. We all have the ability to increase our energy and access the highest/fastest energies to eradicate problems in our lives. In carefully structured chapters, Wayne Dyer draws on both ancient wisdom and firsthand accounts, and shows how to: stop giving energy to things you don’t believe in * keep your energy field uncontaminated * raise and maintain your spiritual energy. In the second part of the book, “Putting spiritual problem solving into action”, Dyer shows how we can transform any negative energy into positive energy: hate into love * hurt into forgiveness * doubt into faith * despair into hope * sadness into joy. Taken from: http://www.amazon.com/There-Spiritual-Solution-Every-Problem/dp/000713147X?ie=UTF8&tag=enjoysucce-20&link_code=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969 Changes to text are mine.

Excuses Be Gone!: Within the pages of this transformational book, Dr. Wayne W. Dyer reveals how to change the self-defeating thinking patterns that have prevented you from living at the highest levels of success, happiness, and health. Even though you may know what to think, actually changing those thinking habits that have been with you since childhood might be somewhat challenging.

If I changed, it would create family dramas . . . I’m too old or too young . . . I’m far too busy and tired . . . I can’t afford the things I truly want . . . It would be very difficult for me to do things differently . . .and I’ve always been this way . . .may all seem to be true, but they’re in fact just excuses. So the business of modifying habituated thinking patterns really comes down to tossing out the same tired old excuses and examining your beliefs in a new and truthful light.

In this groundbreaking work, Wayne presents a compendium of conscious and subconscious crutches employed by virtually everyone, along with ways to cast them aside once and for all. You’ll learn to apply specific questions to any excuse, and then proceed through the steps of a new paradigm. The old, habituated ways of thinking will melt away as you experience the absurdity of hanging on to them.

You’ll ultimately realize that there are no excuses worth defending, ever, even if they’ve always been part of your life—and the joy of releasing them will resonate throughout your very being. When you eliminate the need to explain your shortcomings or failures, you’ll awaken to the life of your dreams. Excuses . . . Begone! Change Your Thoughts- Change Your Life: Living the Wisdom of the Tao: Five hundred years before the birth of Jesus, a God-realized being named Lao-tzu in ancient China dictated 81 verses, which are regarded by many as the ultimate commentary on the nature of our existence. The classic text of these 81 verses, called the Tao Te Ching or the Great Way, offers advice and guidance that is balanced, moral, spiritual, and always concerned with working for the good.

In this book, Dr. Wayne W. Dyer has reviewed hundreds of translations of the Tao Te Ching and has written 81 distinct essays on how to apply the ancient wisdom of Lao-tzu to today’s modern world. This work contains the entire 81 verses of the Tao, compiled from Wayne’s researching of 10 of the most well-respected translations of text that have survived for more than 25 centuries. Each chapter is designed for actually living the Tao or the Great Way today. Some of the chapter titles are “Living with Flexibility,” “Living Without Enemies,” and “Living by Letting Go.” Each of the 81 brief chapters focuses on living the Tao and concludes with a section called “Doing the Tao Now.”

Wayne spent one entire year reading, researching, and meditating on Lao-tzu’s messages, practicing them each day and ultimately writing down these essays as he felt Lao-tzu wanted you to know them.

This is a work to be read slowly, one essay a day. As Wayne says, “This is a book that will forever change the way you look at your life, and the result will be that you’ll live in a new world aligned with nature. Writing this book changed me forever, too. I now live in accord with the natural world and feel the greatest sense of peace I’ve ever experienced. I’m so proud to present this interpretation of the Tao Te Ching, and offer the same opportunity for change that it has brought me.” Taken from: http://www.amazon.com/Change-Your-Thoughts-Living-Wisdom/dp/140191750X?ie=UTF8&tag=enjoysucce-20&link_code=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969

This book is his way of paying it forward. ‘Being You, Changing the World’, provides you with a set of PRACTICAL tools and processes which can change everything and give you YOU, as you truly be. It provides you with a totally different perspective of BEING. What if being you isn’t about doing something differently or being better? What if it is about BEING the energy you be, in totality? And what if that can change EVERYTHING? Your life, your relationships, your money situation . . . And the world! Access Consciousness is a system for opening the doors to anything that is possible in this world. By giving you access to your knowing. By dynamically increasing you awareness. By including everything and judging nothing. Today, Dr. Dain Heer travels all over the world inviting and inspiring people to more consciousness from total allowance, caring, humor and a phenomenal knowing. His unique points of view on of embodiment, earth, sexualness and healing transcend most things currently being taught. ‘Being You, Changing the World’ is his eighth book. From the back cover: ‘I am not a guru. I have no answers for you. Just questions. Only you know what is true for you. What I am inviting you to, is exploring WITH me. My own path to consciousness is on going, as is yours. I use these tools every day and I keep discovering what else is possible, every day. If you’re willing, this book can guide you to Being You. And Changing the World. Is now the time?’ You can download an audio of the first chapter, read by Dain Heer, at: http://www.beingyoubook.com. We are looking for a personal breakthrough, a turning point, a revelation that brings with it new meaning. The Book of Secrets–a crystalline distillation of insights and wisdom accumulated over the lifetime of one of the great spiritual thinkers of our time–provides an exquisite new tool for achieving just that.

Every life is a book of secrets, ready to be opened. The secret of perfect love is found there, along with the secrets of healing, compassion, faith, and the most elusive one of all: who we really are. We are still mysteries to ourselves, despite the proximity of these answers, and what we most long to know remains lodged deep inside.

From “The World Is in You” and “What You Seek, You Already Are” to “Evil Is Not Your Enemy” and “You Are Truly Free When You Are Not a Person,” The Book of Secrets is rich with insights, a priceless treasure that can transport us beyond change to transformation, and from there to a sacred place where we can savor the nectar of enlightenment.

M. Scott Peck

The Road Less Traveled: A New Psychology of Love, Traditional Values and Spiritual Growth: Now featuring a new introduction by Dr. M. Scott Peck, the twenty-fifth anniversary edition of the classic bestseller The Road Less Traveled, celebrated by The Washington Post as “not just a book but a spontaneous act of generosity.”

Perhaps no book in this generation has had a more profound impact on our intellectual and spiritual lives than The Road Less Traveled. With sales of more than seven million copies in the United States and Canada, and translations into more than twenty-three languages, it has made publishing history, with more than ten years on the New York Times bestseller list.

Written in a voice that is timeless in its message of understanding, The Road Less Traveled continues to help us explore the very nature of loving relationships and leads us toward a new serenity and fullness of life. It helps us learn how to distinguish dependency from love; how to become a more sensitive parent; and ultimately how to become one’s own true self.

Recognizing that, as in the famous opening line of his book, “Life is difficult” and that the journey to spiritual growth is a long one, Dr. Peck never bullies his readers, but rather guides them gently through the hard and often painful process of change toward a higher level of self-understanding. Panache Desai

Discovering Your Soul Signature: A 33-Day Path to Purpose, Passion & Joy: An invitation to change the energy that surrounds you, find the harmony that comes with self-acceptance, and, in the process, discover your life’s purpose and the boundless possibilities that await you.

Your soul signature is your spiritual DNA—it is who you are at your core, the most authentic part of you, your singular contribution to this world. And yet we reject our authentic selves. We allow our soul signature to become blocked by any number of emotional obstacles that life throws in our path: anger, fear, guilt, shame, sadness, despair. Any or all of these feelings overtake us and create a density, a heaviness that doesn’t permit us to embrace who we truly are, deep inside. We are energetic beings, Panache Desai reminds us, and emotions are energy in motion. When we are blocked we feel unworthy, less than, unloved, incomplete.

In Discovering Your Soul Signature, Panache invites us on a 33-day path of meditations—short passages to be read at morning, noon, and night that are designed to dismantle the emotional burden that holds us back and open us up to changing our lives. Through this distilled, poetic, practical, and inspiring course, he invites us to live a life of authenticity, to rediscover purpose and passion, and to believe from our soul in the possibility of all things.
